2019 Lucero Syrah

Situated between the cooler 2018 season and unusually warm 2020 season, 2019 was a fairly moderate year with more mild temperatures. As a result, the 2019 Lucero Syrah is somewhat less herbaceous than its 2018 counterpart, while expressing stronger floral notes such as lavender. Although the whole cluster fermentation process used for this wine tends to create a smoother, creamier, more relaxed feel in the mouth, the slightly cooler temperatures of 2019 lent more tension and energy than in 2020, creating a vibrancy distinct to the 2019 vintage.
