2016 Sabino Chardonnay
We ferment our Sabino Chardonnay in a mixture of French oak and an egg-shaped concrete tank. Because we let it ferment naturally, it takes a long time to finish fermentation. We also bottle it later than most Chilean Chardonnay producers. By waiting, we let the vineyard, soil, and grape speak more clearly.
2016 was a good white wine vintage for Kingston. The 2016 Sabino has a lovely balance of citrusy notes, beeswax and toastiness. Fresh and energetic on the palate, medium weight. Bracing acidity.
