"CJ's Barrel" is named after CJ Kingston, our family patriarch and pioneer who came to Casablanca in the early 1900s looking for gold. An extremely limited special bottling, it is allocated exclusively to Old Corral club members.

The 2015 CJ’s Barrel shares a common thread with earlier vintages. It demonstrates a purity of expression that we’ve only rarely been fortunate enough to experience. It is a remarkable example of our terroir, multi-layered, full of depth and texture. No matter the setting, this is a wine to enjoy with good company.  Read more in Amael's tasting notes ››

**(96 points)** A wine with density and reserved character. Full to medium body, fine tannins and a silky finish. Shows stone and berry flavors yet has hazelnut and light cedar undertones. -*James Suckling* **(91 points)** Rich aromas of milk chocolate share space on the nose with mushroom, cherry and currant notes. Although this ranks as a fuller-bodied Pinot, the palate retains a sense of crispness courtesy of bright acidity. Flavors of tomato, herbs, black plum and spice are just oaky enough, while this finishes with a blend of barrel notes, cherry and plum. -*Wine Enthusiast* **(90 points)** Vibrant and effusively fruity, with well-defined flavors of red plum, raspberry and cherry that are fresh and clean. The minerally finish features a flush of spice, showing rich, savory accents. -*Wine Spectator*
