Three years ago, we decided to experiment and make our first Rosé from Syrah grapes. Chilean Syrah is often associated with robust wines, not delicate Rosé. But we were inspired to test our Syrah’s potential by using a different winemaking technique. We wanted to show off the freshness and uniqueness of our Kingston Family Vineyards.
Today after three successful vintages, our Rosé has graduated from an experiment to a favorite Kingston Family wine for many. To recognize its coming of age, we’ve named it Rosillo. The transition came at a great time. In addition to our greater understanding of the grape’s expression at Kingston, the year was key. In my opinion, it is the best Rosé we’ve made.
