Though we planted Merlot when we first planted our vineyards, in the winery we are still in our "experimental" phase. This is only the second year in which we have bottled our Merlot and we were initially reluctant to try it because the varietal so known for being grown in Chile’s warmer valleys. However, we’ve found that the Kingston Family Merlot has a complexity of flavors unseen in warmer parts of Chile.
While our 2017 Merlot is a delicious wine with lots of fruit and high volume, the 2018 stands out for its subtlety and austerity. It is a very fresh wine, with herbal notes, red fruits and spices. Read more in Amael's tasting notes ››
